So, it's the season again. The pungent smell could be found everywhere, especially by the streets of Malaysia, and if you live in a high rise building, yeah your floor's dumpster smells of that too. The durian is a famous tropical fruit found only in the South East Asia countries and is high in proteins, minerals and fats, and has been name the King of Fruits for its thorny spikes.

When choosing a durian, one must always make sure the fruit is light and the stem is thick and solid looking. A good durian will produce light thumping sounds of the seeds when shake. But of course, it is always better for the salesman to choose your durians for you. They should always show you part of the flesh inside to ensure you they are just enough ripe and soft.

To open the fruit, beat the head of the durian a few times with a knife or a wooden club. This will assist you in loosening the five segments of the fruit and making the lines visible enough for you to cut the fruit open.

After savoring, always keep a segment of the fruit for a few other purposes. The older folks have always believed that if you make a concoction of salt water on the fruit's segment and gulp them down, it will help you to keep your body cool and not resulting you with sore throat and feverish body temperature.

If you have always had a hard time getting rid of the pungent smell off your fingers, make sure to wash your hands under a running water streaming through the outer husk of the durian. You will find that this method will leave your fingers a faint scent of trees, LOL, I dont know how to explain the smell, but for sure it will leave your fingers pungent free.

I've had my feasts on durians, have you had yours?

Cat Shit Durian also known as "MEOW SEE LOU LIN" in Cantonese. Some Malays call it durian kampung. They are very small in size but the small is incredibly strong. You sure try one day.

Wow, that durian looks damn good. How much does it costs? I've bought a few a few weeks back. Damn expensive, RM7 per kg for one type and another is RM30++ per kg. I told my dad don't buy the RM30++ one but he don't listen. I don't see much difference with it. Slightly more meat but really really not worth it.

X, LOL ok ok I think Ive heard of it before... hmmm, must go ask my friend bout it... hahaha, but the name is so yucky..

10/3, LOL my pic of durian costs me RM10 for 3 biji... ngahahaha and its nice... yummy, no need buy expensive durian also I can get great durian satisfaction liao.. ;P
